I thought that as well, but curiosity got the better of me, so I had a look! :D

Mines a 2001 TDI, as stated previously the mini filter was actually inside the banjo bolt and not where I had expected it to be.

I wonder how many people have looked and not spotted it? :nenau

About 6 years ago when I had my 1999 SWB it wasn't running as good as I hoped & had a look for a mini filter, as normal there wasn't one in the pump itself but noticed something in the banjo bolt yip it was a type of mini filter & i'm sure I was the first to find one there will have a search to see if I can find the old post on it:augie that one was 80% blocked so had to drill the filter out of the banjo bolt & the truck was totally different:D Still not check this one yet as it's been rain a lot but will do as i'm wondering if one has been fitted or not. On the plus side the truck is still running great & the power does seem better so am really wondering if the EGR was just starting to stick open a bit as you could feel it was wanting to rev but was being held back by something. The ball bearing I used was out of a bike wheel hub:lol
Sorry I stand corrected I wasn't the first to find it it was terranokid
