Got a permanently lit EML (came on three days ago as I floored it to overtake someone)....battery disconnection hasn't made it go away and although I'm going to get it checked, theres nothing whatsoever amiss with the engine....any bright ideas chaps?:nenau:nenau:nenau

...and of course Sods Law says I've got what I assume is an OBDII connector as opposed to the one that Jeremy photo'd in his excellent download, so not sure which pins to short.... :(:(

You need to short pin 1 (Check) & pin 4/5 (Ground)

You will find a picture in this thread I posted a while ago.

oops mistake... its "IGN" & "Check" that need to be shorted together for > 2 secs. Pins 8 & 1. The 2 corners of the connector on the bottom row. ref EC-36

Thanks Ray, I'll give it a go now! :thumb2

Ray - many thanks, that worked when I eventually got the contacts....and guess what, Error 55 - NFF, bloody thing..... still, its cleared it now so I'll wait and see if anything reappears!

Much obliged for your quick and helpful response! :thumb2:thumb2:thumb2
