hi hope someone can help n/s windows stopped working have power to moters but no joy cud both moters have popped AT ONCE need help thanks gang.

Mght be no harm to check the switch connectors under the centre console. These apparently do come loose and give problems. Are the wndows that are not working on the same side of the car or opposite sides. If it is the same side then it is probably the connectors under the centre consloe. Have had some problems with electric windows on my T2. Mostly problem was connectors coming loose.

I would have thought "power to the motors" would rule out the centre console switches?

So you have current at the motor but it doesn't operate, correct?

cheers mate they are on the same side i'll give the consol a try tommorow let you know how i get on

It's lubing the rubber channel rubbers with Silicone or furniture polish too.

Point well made by lacroupade. If you have power at the motors then its unlikely to have anything to do with the centre console. The windows do get stuck so a bit of furniture polish on the rubbers etc. might help as others suggest. If you have the door panels off try shaking the wire going to the motor. Had problem with connector attached to the motor and if I shook the wire and kept the switch on the window would move sometimes. Had to cut off the connector and do a patch job. Has worked fine since.

silicone grease

dont know if i used the wrong stuff but i sprayed silicone grease on all my rubbers and now theyve all stuck up. got to strip all the doors down now to clean it all off:(:(:(:(:(

a lot of people may disagree but!

I have found from experience the best thing for the rubbers is a drop of 3 in 1oil, put it in the top corner and let it run down

I have tried all sorts and this has worked well on litterally hundreds of 4x4's as it was a tip got from a 4x4 specialist!

sticky windows

ripped the door panels off, greased all the cables and slides. cleaned all the crappy silicone off and the windows go up and down like WHOOOOOOSSSSHH

hi gang thanks done all above wud relay effect earth transfer contact and are there any more relays apart from the one in drivers door [drafty]

Drop of 3 in 1 oil down the rubber seal worked for me cheers.:thumbs

3 in 1 worked for me too, windows are working like new - so simple and so effective.
Would never agree with silicone, every silicone product there is goes hard and breaks down eventually - try repainting something with hammerite on! impossible unless you add more hammerite, or should I say liquid silicone!
