away with the van last week and being as i get water in the drivers footwell i leave the n/s/f window open a bit.
any way i pulled up and had 2 chaps come to me 1 on each side so fumbled to open both windows to chat to them on arrival to meet.
unbeknown to me i had tried to open o/s/r window.
later on a chap came over and said windows were open on t2.
thanks i said so went out and front n/s was where i left it but o/s/r was half open so i tried to close it but it was jammed.tried pulling it up while switch was being pressed but no joy so as rain was forecast i cleaned area up and made a gaffa tape bridge to seal it up.
left it till i could work on it.
looked up download to give me an idea of what to do and set about removing door panel.
got in pulled plastic and expected to find lift up and down metalwork.but found steel cables running to the motor gearbox, took motor of and gearbox as the steel wires were unwound from it.
anyway used pliers to unkink wire and rewound it to spool but it kept jamming so gave up and put a length of wood from side impact bar to bottom of window and used a couple of splodges of silicon to hold it in place and put door back together.
i can live without a window.
i am thinking that i will need the full mechanism to repair it unless some one knows different.
