Electric window stuck

Going thru a few pre( get it on the road checks) when I noticed that the passenger side rear window would not open and all the others would.I checked the fuses and they were OK.I then thought the window was stuck so tried pulling the glass down as my dad pressed the switch but that didn't free it off.I could not here any motor trying to work so thought it was burnt out maybe.
I removed the door card and had a look inside.
I couldn't free it off by pulling any cabling so undid the nuts to the slider rail and managed to drop the window down by hand.Re-fitted the window slider rail and hey presto my window now works.

I am guessing that where it had been off the road for all those weeks and not getting used that it had stuck solid to the top window rubber and would not budge when button was pressed .

I might be worthwhile for you to try all your electric windows now and then to keep them free OR at least get some kind of lube into the rubber (I have used furniture wax in the past)

Had the same problem today!! The window went down but wouuldn't go back up, Slammed the f'ing door swore at it and it's as good as new - no tools needed!!!

i keep spraying wd40 into the window slots. help keep them moving so less work for the motor to do..

yep i can run the motor off another source.

goes down wont go up . reverse the wires the opposite happens

Do the Mavs have a center consoll like the T2s cos I had trouble with my rear window would not work at all, door switch or consoll so thought motor, stripped out door found motor fine, eventually got to consoll the wires are short and pull on the plugs sorted that, window now works on door switch up and down, and up on consoll but not down, havent figgured that one out yet but not too bothered, Rick

mine is swb so only front electric windows , passenger switch on the center console . have to sort it soon. no doubt i'll be getting someone from the court to inspect my trucks. if the ex carries on .

its a lot of letter writing and house inspections

so the window really is not a problem for a week or 2 lol

Sounds to me like you need a mate like I have, hes not a bad lad just has rules that he sticks to, he had to do some kind of community service not too long ago where each person had to talk about their error, he was sat next to a guy who had hit a woman, hen he found out, he just stood up and flattened the guy, no ifs no buts, and had a good go at the people in charge about the principals of the meet and told them straight that if he has to come and sit next to a this guy again then he will hit him again only harder, he did not have to go again, did some other stuff instead, you sound as though you are having it hard, and I can understand, we fostered for 24 years, but the system is so corrupt you would not believe, but then maybe you do, I sincerely wish you luck, you need to be resilliant and show the pigs that try that it does not matter to you what they do, they do eventually give up, best regards Rick
