my front passenger window is currently not working, all other windows are fine.

where do i start to fix the problem???

a couple of cheap checks first fuse the wiring plug in behind the door card and while you are in the door check for a broken cable if in the winter session if the cables are dry they can snap mine did when i first bought mine if all fails it could be motor or the cables are very stiff from being quite cold

just worth a try with ignition on hold window switch down then bang the door panel just in front of the door handle. "you must be holding switch down at the SAME TIME" If it works you have a sticking change over switch on window winder motor.

Try removing the centre consol and then remove the window controls from underneath they are only held in with two crosshead screws then look closely to see if you have any broken wires. I had a broken wire on one of mine that until I removed the switch I couldn't see, this is an easy job for even a person with little experience like me  .

guys....

tried to remove the centre console today but couldnt get it out coz of the gear sticks... how do i overcome this?

tried to remove the doorcard, managed to get it all off apart from the door handle... how do i get this off, cant find any screws holding it?

Hi rag i'm sure the door handle comes off with the door trim on the mk3 T2 you have once you have removed the 2 screws in the lower part of the handle

there isnt any screw on the handle. there are 2 screws at the side of the panel and a screw to take the big black handle to close the door off but the actual handle to open the door doesnt seem to have any screws.
just a black surround with the metal handle and door lock on it.

I didn't remove it completely just raised it to about 45 degrees and sort of turned myself upside down (not a pretty sight) got No1 son to hold a torchand sort of just managed, it's not that bad really even for me and I have two left hands  . Go on give it a go, I'll bet it's part of the problem if not the whole thing.

Have fun

Sorry rag I thought you ment the door close handle  On my earlier mk2 T2 the door opening handle is held in place by a few little lugs on the back of the handle suround & to free them & to remove the suround I just use a small screwdriver beteen the door trim & the suround & carefully lever it free

i tried working with the door panel just pulled out but there seems to be some sort of film over all the electrics to protect them in the door panel so it was kinda awkward to see anything.
