When I first got my Mav last year, everything worked perfectly. Now, neither electric mirror works. It's not the fuse (still running all the fuses it left the factory with - none have been replaced!).

Is it a common fault? I'm not much of an auto electrician - is the switch a likely candidate?

I would take out switch and check for feed and earth in, and if there, check feed out with switch connected and ign on and operating

I dont think they have a relay,so the above would be the best bet :thumbs

Its quite common for the switch to fall apart in behind

Jeremy is spot on.....if you do remove it, for goodness sake, keep ALL the bits and make sure you dismantle it on a sheet of newspaper - there are some TINY springs inside that if lost, just make the whole shebang u/s.

Just remove the lower dash panel and reach behind to squeeze the two integral plastic clips that hold the switch in place and it will come out of the front.
