has anyone done one on a terrano.
seen a twin fan unit for a t2 on e bay but just wondered what work was involved and what you need to buy.

running without one on at the moment well the fan as it broke and went through my rad:eek:

Mine haven't been on since the summer,as you know these engines run coooool man

I also am running without said fan, never got above halfway on the temp gauge, get a little warmer if stuck n traffic but soon cools down again once moving, think the hightest it got was half way when i was stuck in traffic for an hour without moving

I've got the fan off the Mav here for you elty, it's the right size n everything.....

Don't buy anything off that twot propart, he sold Harlowmaverick a dodgy engine, and me a broken headlight and grill .

thanks for the heads up,have sent you a pm.

bought a fan and a thermo unit thingy from a kit car shop.just going for a single one at the mo as the guy says it will do the job no probs.as ive got the non air con model i get good air flow through the rad and i dont do any really heavy towing.
will get it put in at the weekend and see how it fairs up.:thumbs

finally got round to fittin the leccy fans:thumbs

pretty straight forward enough.
motor runs alot quieter without the viscous fan spinning away.

would have liked to have put the thermo control unit out of the way but the sensor wire wasnt long enough to reach over to the inner wing.
does the job but it dont look very good stuck up next to the intercooler.:nenau

what size fans are you using.theres a seller on ebay varying sizes all new and reasonable prices.

got a 12"and 14" fans cost 110 quid for 2 fans and the thermo kit jobby.
bought them from bolt on bits.

fitting kit ?

my concern for these after market kits is the direct fitting to the rad i wonder if it would place undue stress on the rad cores ? whats the fitting kit like ?

i fitted an electric fan years ago to our old patrol on a dash mounted switch when the viscous seized up, we hardly ever had to turn it on and enjoyed the deep water at pay and play driving past all the land rover owners who,s twin kenlowes had soaked there engines :lol and am very tempted to do the same on the terra if it will make things quieter, nothing wrong with the viscous due to nice new shiny water pump recently fitted lol

mite be temped to remove it to see if there is a lot of difference anyways

Timbo has fitted his with the zip tie method direct to rad. All's well:thumb2

the kit comes with plastic zip tie things.
my mate is into his kit cars and never had a problem with fitting them this way.
