EGR

Anyone here blocked off the egr valve on their 2.8 Y61 Trol, I've heard it can improve the performance.

Works better off on the Terrano so wont hurt trying it :nenau

You can get universal blanking plates that fits between the EGR & inlet manifold :thumbs

Its there for a reason - good for smooth engine during warm up etc. When mine was not working the engine was very jerky. (R3mR 2.7 TD)

If its performance your after why drive a 4 x 4 it is a different mindset you don't need a traffic light GP good driving is all about control with self control being the one that comes with experience ?

I've done all the performance car stuff and with the Trol i now relax and enjoy driving but a little not vast amount of more poke would be useful.

have read on 3.0 zd the computer misses it, arh poor thing.

dont know if 2.8 will be less sensitive.

Its there for eu emissions & the Mk1 Terranos in my opinion run better as it restricts it to much.!
Doesnt drop consumption.?!

Doesn't cause any problems in the 2.8 when its blocked heres the instruction on how its done. And we wonder why the oil in a diesel is black, soot thats why.
