Think you'll find lots of Mavs have them just as not all Terranos have them.

Usually its a brassy coloured thing about four inches across between the bulkhead and the back of the cylinder head, about four inches down.

Toolbox gave an excellent explanation to tie it up with the solenoids by the airbox....just do a search.

All ford done was re badge it as Honda did with the old Rover & many other companys have done with various models.
