EGR Blanking Plate

came across some pr-made blanking plates so thought I would share, myself & many others here have made their own as they were not commonly available.

That's nice actually as you only have to undo the bolts enough to slide in down between then pinch them back up.

I have a scar on the back of my right hand from doing that job :doh
 
Is there any way of knowing whether I already have one fitted?
 
Wish id thought of cutting side of holes out when I made mine would have been done in seconds rather than an hour trying to see with a poxy mirror if its hole line up

its a good idea, when i get my motor back i will have to have a look.
Mine is the 3 litre version so probably different blanking plate

With the 3L you have to do other mods IIRC when you blank the egr
 
Ok, so please enlighten me........:naughty

When i was having trouble i tried blanking the egr and was told that blanking the EGR on the 3.0 can cause overboost issues. So removed it. there is something on here about it but cant remember where, sorry.
 
Cheers for that, I had given up searching for pre made ones and was thinking about trying to make my own. Glad someone's on the ball though. Got one ordered.
