You've only had to experience it once!!!! Imagine poor Kaz and Elts :lol :lol

Except bro you don't do yourself any favours by putting the spots on and lighting up the countryside for miles :lol :p

Shouldn't choose camp sites in the middle end of nowhere!!!! Need all the lighting that I can get to get to some of Elt's sites :lol

That said, PaulTrol still hits the walls in the daylight :lol

That's it Rick!!! To be honest, I'm sick of being the guy that turns up at 2am on the Friday Night/Sat Morn :lol :lol

I ain't doing that again either :lol
I still need to invest in another sleeping bag. I burnt the last one in anger :D

No meet would be the same if you turned up in the daylight all civilized:thumbs

I'm off to check out the campsite next weekend and hopefully get to see some of the routes. Hopefully we should have a date confirmed and site confirmed by next weekend. :clap

Did you manage to visit the campsite this weekend?

I didn't get the chance, my truck wasn't ready until Saturday afternoon and I had too much stuff to do on Sunday.
I might have another go this weekend, snow permitting. All the sites I've approached in Edale aren't interested in groups. So Elty proposed this site http://www.stadengrange.co.uk/ which should be able to accommodate, it's not quite the spot but close enough. :clap

Looks decent...

Electric hookup for those of us with Tin Tents too! :thumbs

OK, so the site looks quite good.
It's split between electric hook ups (to the right in photo) and proper campers (to the left), but if possible will try and group us together in the hook up area.
There's a shower/toilet block and washing up facilities.
The only down side is that open wood fires are separate from the camping area, barbecues permitted tentside, but no spark producing wood fire near the tents.

Firepit corner

Obviously the good view is on the other side.

The small petting zoo is unlikely to be open before Easter, but the kids should be plenty busy with other stuff.

The weekend of 13/14th has been booked and you'll need the code 7449 when speaking to them and booking so that they know you're part of the same group. Give them a shout http://www.stadengrange.co.uk/ and tell them how many nights you're staying.

Other info is that town will be a short drive away as opposed to a walk as I know Rick like to sample the local restaurants.
Being near to Buxton, there's plenty of shops and petrol/diesel locally.
Camp site is easy to find fromthe sat nav given on the website.

I think that that's it for now.

Awesome recce. :thumbs

I will get all booked up this week. :D

Sweet. Should be bringing the family and staying a few nights on this meet. :thumbs

I should be back on my feet for this one but not too sure how fit I’ll be. Might speak to wife tonight maybe a night in the b&b or just a visit to see you all.

Ahhhhhh I have fond memories of this camp site :lol

Panelbeater's caravan has taken a right rocking on that site :lol

The site owners know me well :lol

Alistair (owner) said that there had been a meet with Mavericks some time ago, I thought he meant the truck and not the people...
