Ok, im on my knees and begging for some kind person to help me out. :(
Does anyone have an ECU for a 97 Terrano/Maveirck they would be willing to lend me. I want to check if it is this that is at fault before i buy one. As if its not then im going to be out of pocket for no reason. I will of course pay postage both ways and return it well packed to you.

I am honest and will return it as Makeitfit will confirm as he lent me an MAF to see if that was the problem, i regret it was'nt. (Thanks again Pete)

If mine is at fault and your happy to sell me yours (At the right price :naughty) then i will just send you the money.

Over to you guys......Come on help the Kamsinator out, you know you want to. :thumbs

I have a couple of ECU's, that I would be willing to loan.
All important thing though is the part number, normally in largish lettering on the top cover 7F000-xxxxx or similar, I'l check and see if I have the same part...
BTW what's appears wrong with it?

Iv got a juddering at around 1,000 to 1,200 revs.
Dont do it out of gear and wont do it if i floor it, but normal running is a right pain in town as you normaly around that rev mark.
Iv done almost everything i can to stop it and another member on here has the same problem and he done stuff i not thought off too ei, Injectors, feul pump and so on.. The ECU could be my last hope as im running out of ideas.

Will try to get part number when i get home.

My Mav's the same as yours and my ECU isn't doing much as the fuel system is separate, although I don't know if the car would run at all without it ? If someone can confirm it will , this could be your cheapest option ??

hi mate thanks for helping out with the code reader in the past but problem still there not as bad i have replaced s/h ip from nissan 1st no diff then i replaced injector no.1 got alot better but still there lumpy running still sometimes showing 0201 on the mil light but this is where i have problem got a new usb lead from fez it worked on his car and laptop but wont work on my car also when reading the code with paper clip i cant do as it says in the manual turn key to on mil light on then bridge ign and chk wait 2 sec then take out read codes (this is where it goes wrong for me if i levae it in i can read all codes if i take it out at this point it goes back to mode 1) then re insert paper clip to eraze codes but i can as i have to leave it in just to read codes.

now to day went through every sensor and tested wires from sensors to ecm connector(both connectors unpluged to check the wires were not broken) pluged everything back in start car rev it to 2000rpm released throttle, engine stalled started it again mil light on did the paper clip and every sensor i took off and tested it had an error code for all of them clear them with my little yellow code reader which saw all but two and when i cleared them these 2 that it did not c could not clear them so does any1 think it could be my ecu any help would be great thanks ray and sorry to Kamsin for hi jacking:augie

And is he sure it is blanked off completely, and the throttle valve is either removed or rigged in the fully open position???

His symptoms are that of a over excitted egr system (amungst others, of course)

I cant vouch for his handy work other than to say it's blanked off with a metal plate. I've suggested he check his flap too :D:lol
Any other questions I can answer on his behalf ? :lol

Hi guys, sorry i could not get back to you last night, had stuff to sort out at home.
Any way, as Pete said the EGR is blanked off with a steel plate, i did it about 2 weeks ago, and it made no differance. Pete told me about the butterfly flap yesterday and im did plan on doing it last night, but as i said, i had things to sort out. (Had to go pay the welder for welding her back together) I will get the spanners out tonight and check this bit though. The same goes for the ECU i just ran out of time to do anything, i will get to it tonight and get the code from it and see who (If anyone) has the correct one to fit, then take it from there.

Just be careful unplugging the bugger though, too many wires too many errors :lol

Shuddering at 1000 rpm on load ? I understand all terranos do that, all the ones I have driven have, there is little power under 2000 rpm. Simple cheap and easy answer which works every time......... change gear. regards bri
