between what and what Pete? Theres anywhere from 80-odd to 134 pins and cables attached to it (depending which one it is) via four different plugs and looms, so have fun won't you!

Pete, its feck all to do with Bosch/Hitachi as far as I know - I've got one of each and the ECU is in the same place on both.

If you've got aircon theres no room for it in the footwell, so its normally therefore sitting behind the lower part of the centre console, just above and behind the lower cubby hole. Its a pain in the arse to dismantle the console but thats what you have got to do.

If you haven't got aircon then I would have expected it to be in the footwell, but if it ain't there then the centre console is the only other place to look as far as I am aware.

I dont have aircon and I think mine is under the consol, only six screws to lift off the consol, and you can adjust the hand brake while you are at it! bri

that would make at least three locations then!! Bri are you sure its the ECU - metal cased thing about the size of a small paperback with 3-4 fat wiring looms going into it....?
