Does anyone know if this will run on cooking oil as well ?

I fancy fitting one but i run with both diesel and cooking oil mix, dont want to bugger one up if i fit it cos they cost £££££.:augie

instructions will say what types /grades of fuel can be used ,parrafin gives best heat, also use it to burn out carbon deposits

We have them on ambulances and just talking with mechanic and he doesn't think it will work they can be sensative to over heating so don't think oil will be a good idea

U just have to turn the dial on ur console toward the red area u tight sod lol

It a heater that is powered by diesel in trucks, so the driver can stay warm when the enigne is not running. They get left on all night to keep him nice and cossy.

I was going to look at fitting on to my truck as we spend a lot of time parked up talking :lol and i wanted to stay warm... They are very ££££ though. about £250 on FleBay

carefull you don't buy a bag of sh1t, very expensive to repair if circuit board goes down, and other bits are not cheap, plug in diagnostic tool usually required.would advise see/hear it running before purchase if poss, unless it's cheap!!
good luck!!

Thansk for the heads up though.:thumbs

We had a narrow boat with an eberwhatsit, there were big discussions re red derv V white, we ran on red and I had to de coke every three months, lovely little heaters but high maintenance, glow plugs last a short time and are over £30 each, Rick

would a second big battery, spilt charger, and electric heater be better for your use ?

Hey, buy a caravan and take it with you when you want your chats, then you can all sit in that and keep nice and warm...even cook up a few bacon sarnie's.
:thumbs
I'll get my coat:augie:augie:augie

What do i do with it as well go over Stanage, can't really take it with you.....Although i now see an alternative "Off road camping" idea forming.

You could set up your own little kitchen and sell food to the others:D

glow plugs fail because gauze around glow plug gets carboned up and glow plug overheats and melts glow plug element (often destroy gauze when removing it) we find no difference between red/white diesel, parrafin is best or 50/50 parrafin/diesel. and better for sub zero start ups.
