I had to change one of the oil filters on my dads vehicle, Had to stab it with a screwdriver so I could unscrew it.

I've herd of people running their cars on it:nenau

Not tried it myself yet:rolleyes:

Any experience out there

I use all the old engine oil in my 1975 lister SR2 gen set, I let it stand for a month or so then siphon the oil to within 25 mm of the bottom (amassing amount of sludge in the bottom) filter it and stick it in the tank about 50 50 derv old oil never had any problems yet to try it in my Xantia, but do not see any reason why it should not be fine, Rick

So could this be another alternative fuel? A little more research me thinks if it pans out im starting to do oil changes for free with free disposal of the old oil :D:lol

I wouldn't like to look at the emissions, I bet these would be well over the MOT limit. ( but Not at the time of the test :augie)
I wonder what happens to all those additives in the oil when you burn them?

With all that extra carbon in the oil you will probably have to do a de-coke.
Never heard of anyone doing that these days.

I have an old lawn mower with a smokey Briggs and Stratton 4 stroke engine.
I had some old (6years) 2 stroke petrol from an old outboard, rather than waste it I diluted it with new petrol. Can't see any "extra" smoke and it runs fine.:lol
If you want an engine that will run on anything then this must be it....
Might get another year out of it, said this for the last 5 years already. :doh

hi Rustic i get i get mine from ebay.. service kit. all filters in one box..

Hi Zippy, can you recommend one as I looked on the Milner site as well and they still do Boshi, I have heard poor reports on these.

Might try my local supplier, Motormania, every time I buy something from there I say I can get it cheaper from...... and he matches the price.
Usually get 10% :nenau every little helps.

I remember when Asda used to sell car batteries and filters (1980's).
Walmart in the USA do, I wonder if Asda will in the future?
The shops in the UK arn't really big enough. And most Walmart's supply an area greater than a 30 Mile radius.

Best regards,
Rustic
