spot on, but you could be fiddling for hours to achieve a decent SWR when a bit of earth wire would fix it. And the closer you get the better your CB will perform. 0.6 of a watt is a decent amount if you are only playing with 3 or 4 watts :thumb2

i earthed to case as well sorted out noise problems used to get a whirling sound but all quiet now :clap
