Have you tried pulling a XJ900 onto its centre stand - its a work out in itself?

Probably because I can't ride it across the fields & trail.

The conversion kit arrived today & unfortunately I shall be sending it back.
The forks in the rear wheel that houses the motor are fitted incorrectly & they're curved & bent. The gear cassette looks very cheaply made.
When the wheel is fitted to the bike there is no protection for the internal bearings from water & dirt.
I opted for the higher torque motor & so I was advised to have a torque kit to stop the main shaft from twisting out the dropouts. It doesn't fit & it'll need to be modified to do so. The torque kit supplied only fits to the derailleur side. That's no good as equal torque will be applied to both dropouts.

I was very excited & now so disappointed

Though I wouldn't say that the £748.00 that I parted with was cheap. I expected quite so much more.

Update on the kit.

I spoke to the technical support side of the business today about my concerns.
Apparently the spokes are supposed to be curved as this is how they fit them to add extra tension. All made sense when he explained.
The gear cassette isn't a cheap one (even though it does look it) & should last (we'll see).
The torque kit does is only supplied for one side & isn't needed for the other side (I'm still not 100% convinced), but we'll see again.
Once he sent me pictures of how the torque kit fitted, all again made sense, but I just couldn't figure it without the pictures & zero instructions for it didn't help.

Anyway all fitted & working perfectly. It goes like stink
