I call them driving lights they do throw a good light. I am of an age when we had real pea soup fog, smog really, a mixture of smoke form coal fires and fog. Head lights were useless in these condition's as would have been the little round lights the fog would just bounce back the light.

What we called fog lights were lights fitted very low down, the lower the better, so the light
shone under the fog and directly on to the road or if you were lucky a white line or kerb edge.

It could take a long long time to get home and a lot of people just got completely lost and then abandoned their cars. regards bri

The first time i had the mistral out at night i was shocked at how bad the lights were so i replaced the bulbs with osram night breakers think they are 55w and that made a hell of a difference i dont have to use full beam now dipped is more than enough give them a try think they were 20 quid but well worth it.
