drive shaft question.

do'es anyone know if a front driveshaft from a 1997 tdi with abs will be the same as my 1996 non abs model.
they look the same but i havn't took the one off mine yet to do a proper comparison.:nenau

I would think they would fit TBH the only difference I can think of is the ABS pick up on the later shafts which I can't see causing any probs.

the abs ring isn't on the drive shaft which has got me wondering weather its the same.
need a new cv boot on mine but the ones on the shafts i took off the tdi are almost new so i was just gonna swap the shaft if it will fit.:nenau

just got to put it back together now before 3.00pm today.
best get off here then and get on with it really
