and the most tricky, there's two pieces grafted together here.
The idea is to get as much space/volume behind the turbo, and so as little back pressure as possible. FLOW is good. Trouble is there's not a whole lot of space off the back of the turbo to the bulkhead, especially when you allow for engine shake etc.

looks good:naughty erm...does it make the truck sound better?

also, does it effect mot and insurance?

not trying to sound rude here but i cant get a flange:doh....not on ebay anyway

I do like this thread, it has repeteduse of the word FLANGE
Insurance yes, mot no. It'll sound better only if you have no more silly boxes in the system after the flexi :sly
Edit, you can make a flange with some 6mm steel and cut away ;)

370664677153 Item number: this I think will fit not 100% sure through I got mine for 14 quid not 999 pounds

Ok, well, as you know I'm not useing my terrano so the insurance isn't an issue just now.

Just been looking at prices of pipe:eek: will be over £40 :doh

makeitfit you should really make those front pipes and sell them....i would buy one...

Not my skill set mate  I had to get a man in :lol
Any zorst shop should be able to sort it for you though.
The guy who made mine will make more but 5 at a time or it's too expensive.
Last time I asked I THINK he said about 160 quid each if 5 ordered :augie

that doesnt sound too bad actually....i was considering getting a stainless system made but i havent found one local that will do the whole system including the down pipe...

around £70 in bits if ur friend will do it for free:thumbs

Correctomondo,I just didn't know that when I had mine done :doh but all bar the actual flange elbow bit is easy to do. Grafting the compound curves is the tricky bit.
if your mate can do them then get him to make that bit as big and smooth as poss :thumbs

Pipe yes :thumbs

what angles r on ur downpipe i.e from flange is that a 90 deg bend being used as a 90 deg or a 90 deg bend but cut at diff angle where it is welded to the flange and what is the other angles sorry being noisy just will mean its easier for me to make it up been mig welding on and off now for 4 months and love welding:D
