Hi
Just wondered if anybody had fitted a double din into their terrano as mine is the stupid one with built in hazzard switch - not sure if their is room behind the stereo to fit the depth of a double din unit. If it did i was planning on mounting a switch elsewhere as im loath to pay the £114 for the posh surround and I prefer double din systems as better for my old eyes.

The back of the stereo is just a single din so you would end up having to do a lot of cutting of the dash I would think to get it in & for the same money you would get a far better single din unit:augie A few have made their own surrounds to fit a single din unit & fitted a separate hazard switch:thumbs

cheers thanks for the heads up, I think Ill go for single din and make my own surround, a bit of sheeting and some carbon fibre material would look nice and far bloody cheaper lol.

get a single din with motorized touch screen, makes a good double :thumb2 been using mine for a few years now, plays: radio,mp3,tv,cd,dvd, bluetooth & of course sat-nav. but having an old maverick I didn't have the hazard switch problem.

I have been drooling over those for a while, tell me more

Only problem is they cost quite a bit more than a standard stereo, but worth it, just research well on different models so you get the right one, mine was cheap at £240 that was about 4 years ago
