I have 2 English Springer spaniels that I work in the game season. I have 3 shotguns .22rf rifle & 17hmr.
Great fun! Recommend the sport to any one!

Brilliant, thanks mate! You could always shove a couple in a kitchen paper tube & post them up. I'll spring for the stamp :D

The trouble is, with the way those kits grow, and the time the post takes to be delivered, they would have outgrown it before they got there... Would give to postie a shock when he put his hand in his bag to get the next lot of letters...:lol

When we go to Steam fairs, my wife has a large fluffy purple bag that the ferrets can sleep in when they get board of walking. She puts her purse in there as well. One time we were on a stand run by travellers, and as we go to a lot of fairs, we tend to meet the same ones time and time again, so sort of get to know them. I love how a spade is a spade with them, and if the kids say something stupid, they don't beat around the bush, they tell them out right just how stupid they are, just using less polite words...

Anyway, we had just paid for something off of their stand, and my wife dropped the purse back into the purple bag, when one of the kids said to to her, "aren't you ever worried someone could nick you purse out of there...." the Dad looks at me, winks, and says, go on, you try and take it out... The kid looked a bit puzzled, but walked over, and opened the top of the bag, looking in, just as one of the ferrets looked up and yawned... you should have seen him run.... At first he thought she had a snake in the bag, and even after we got the ferret out to show him, he would not go anywhere near it...:lol

Don't have any dogs but I have a bunch of shotguns and air rifles. Used to help out with a friend's pheasant shoot, still do a bit of game and clay shooting but don't seem to do much in the way of pest control any more.
