My drivers door drops a bit when opened. Needs a lift and slam.
Is there any adjustment to fix this?
2002 lwb 2.7tdi

there is limited adjustment on the top and bottom hinges open the door and with a quarter drive socket loosen the bolts hinge to body adjust and re tighten, Rick

Open the door just enough to get both hands on the bottom and then yank it upwards a few times with all your strength, that should do it ;)

door

if the top hinge is worn you need to change it or my way is above or if you need some extra clout put a trolley jack with a decent piece of wood on it lined up along the bottom inner lip of the door slightly ajar then gently take up the slack then rock the body towards you and re-close the door,do not over do it as getting it down is a lot harder.
this trick is used in most body shops and i have just done it to my t2.

adjustment bolts .... as rick said. easy job even a muppet like me can do it:lol

It's the lower hinge - Put a jack with block of wood under the fully open door to take the weight. Take out the bolts one at a time on the botom hinge and slip a washer on each bolt between the hinge and door frame, tighten bolts back up . This will lift the door so that the striker plate is back in line with the door mechanism. :thumbs
