Nop, I did mine with a lwb set:D
I turned it back to front though as it fitted the roof better for me as wanted it further forward.
See my photo bucket link I think there be a pic or two there:thumbs

If you want to carry proper heavy loads dont turn it round and keep the curved part of the foot at the back where it's meant to be:thumbs
I wanted mine up front for the lights bar, that's why I turned it round.

Ah like this then:D

I put a military type socket on the roof so I can take it off in a jiffy

Whats the "I put a military type socket on the roof so I can take it off in a jiffy" that you put on what ?

I got an ex military(found it) plug and socket jobbie :D It's in a fancy camo alu finish and I fitted the socket to the roof. The lights are on a short cable with matching plug, so just screws into socket:thumbs It's all waterproof.
So I can take the roof bar off inc the lights if I want to:)
Remember the ampage is pretty high on 4 55watt bulbs:augie so you need a decent bit of kit:cool:
I originally had 110watt bulbs and melted the old socket:lol
