Do I have the right nuts?

I tried to think of a more amusing thread title, but I'm not that sharp this time of night.

I replaced my alloy wheels with some steel modular ones a while ago. I'm using the original nuts, but when I take a wheel off it's a challenge to re-seat it. I have to jiggle it to get the chamfer of the nut to seat into the hole in the wheel.

Should I replace my nuts with some after market ones, if so which ones?

think this point was brought up in an earlier thread

something about the nut off alloys are chamfered and allow for soft alloy and if went to steels might need new one with flatter head so fits better

but not 100% mate so wait for a couple of the more knowledgeable folk to come along

but dont worry the advise will come

if not pm fez uk and makeitfit theres not much they dont know and both have done some great wheel mods

mine are the same, once you have them roughly guided they are fine.

Cheers buzz, I don't take it off-road very often. That picture was taken at a rifle range I was a member of, at a dis-used quarry.

I would of loved to go on the south peak district outing yesterday, but spotted the thread very late - I hope you go again soon, I would love a nice simple intro into green-laning.

My T2 is the same as yours, with steel wheels - the standard nuts do have a chamfer, it's 60 degrees ( not that that means much when you're struggling to replace a wheel!)
The full spec is M12x1.25mm pitchx60 degree chamfer.
