Hello boys and girls just got back from a grand day off road in the Brechfa Forest.
Its the first time Ive been off road on proper technical tricky stuff.
Well fair doos my Maverick did really well.
A tdi Disco, a Suzuki samurai, a 110 Landrover with ALL THE TOYS and me petrol Maverick. We did the day out on a points against for a refusal!
So the bigger the score the worst you are if you see what I mean.
Suzuki 4
Maverick 8
Landy 12
Disco 224 then we lost count !
Suzuki only got points 'cause it couldnt keep up on the road home.
The Maverick for failing to climb out of 12" deep ruts ( still going ok though) and for putting indicators on during some rapid steering manhoover!
The Landy didnt fit under one of the trees, had to do three point turns on the hairpins, and generally removing half the top soil from west wales.
The Disco..........well we pushed it pulled it kicked it pushed it some more pulled it oh and pushed it a lot !
Suzuki cost £500
Maverick cost £222
Landy cost many £thousands
Disco cost him a bl**dy fortune in the pub later, priceless.

Good time had then

Sounds like you had lots of fun mate.
Could you recommend any good (for 4x4s) campsites down there ??? Paying or none paying ???
What boots has the trano got on ???

There's plenty of camping around the Brechfa area but I'll find the details for you tomorrow ,bit squiffy at mo on disco beer!
Not sure what you mean about trano!
But I was on Insa Sahara Rally as was the suzuki. The disco on BF Goodrich MT, landy on some stupid expensive nobbly things that cost more than my Maverick each.
