I've got you :)

Yeah they originally tried to give me a 2003 Mitsubishi L200 Double Cab Pickup and I declined told them I wanted a Terrano or a Land Rover and this is what I got :thumb2

Definitely the right move, the driving position in those model L200's would be a step back from the Terrano - apart from being more car-like and reclined (same with most pickups) there's nowhere to rest your feet except on the pedals (I'm a size 12 so hated it) :(

A point to remember:
as SOON as you AGREE the insurance payment value for your vehicle, the courtesy car will be re-called post haste.
So it may pay you to slightly delay agreeing the payment.

To be honest Ray, the sooner they have it back the better :clap

I just want to get Marvin fixed and back on the road and if that's not possible then I'll be buying a Terrano Commercial or another SWB Maverick and will be transplanting all new parts to it.

Once and If I get Marvin back this is the plan of action;

Source new back door and strip of all parts and plastics
Get sprayed at mates body shop and then refit
Get new MOT put on it
Get engine pressure tested for loss of Oil
If engine determined knackered drop a new one in with Rick
Give a good clean inside and out
Cuddle it and promise I'll never let anything like this happen again to it

Sounds like I made the right choice :thumb2

I had a brand new LWB Defender truck cab (T) reg., for work, as a work horse....fine....but even going up to Exeter regional office for meetings......a trip of about 44 miles........a penance.....back ache shoulder ache stuffed knees...and I`m 5`10".......my mate....6`4".....built like a brick kazzi......pure torture if it was his turn to drive....:(

Poor you being stuc with that you'd have been much better off with the L200:naughty TBH I love the classic look of the defender but I just can't drive one as have to have the window down all the time so I can steer them & no leg room at all for me as i've got very long legs:doh

Hope everyone else is OK

I'm currently sitting here off work with the worst Flu ever (it might as well be Ebola :doh )

Sitting in my pants with a coffee filling in all of the papers the insurance company has sent to me :doh

If this is what August has dealt me, then I'm on for a lottery win in September, so what do you guys want?
