Hi folks,
I'm still working my Terrano restoration project. Now I decided to replace half of the floor of my car, including the the back wheel cases, with this part cut out of a donor car. Having made a lot of preparations already I now discover that there is an important construction difference between my car's bottom and that from the donor car - the donor's car lacking a steel profile at both sides. The difference had not been visible before starting to cut in my own car - it is hidden within the car's sill. So strange that one Nissan Terrano II is equiped with this steel profile, whereas the other is not - I wonder how this is possible? Now I checked both car's VIN numbers to find out more about the difference, both cars are Terrano II 2.7 TDi's, short wheel base, 7 seats, but my car is version S, while donor car is version SE - would this explain the construction difference???

Yes, it is flat. It's that pressed profile that is completely absent on the red truck.

I have noticed on the cills that I have rebuilt on the LWB that the 3rd inner section does not go all the way to the front but terminates some place forward of the B pillar, Rick
