Does anyone know if there is made an diff lock that fit right in on a Terrano?
And where can i get one?

i thought some one was playing with a LSD for the front??

Lokka from Australia are the jobbies for the front about 330 quid :thumb2
I was trying to do an lsd conversion but it's way to complicated. So just saving up for a lokka :naughty

Is the Lokka a differential lock or is it a differential brake?
Doesn't look like you can manually connect the lock.

It's the same sort of thing as a detroit locker. It's only operated when in 4wd mode and so ideal for free wheeling hubs :thumbs Not switchable .

I think i have to go for the ARB Air locker.
It's more expensive, but i need 4wd with out permanent lock.

It's not permanent lock as the wheel with less grip will still be the driven one. Basically a very strong LSD :sly

yep and I will be surprised if you can get a arb one for the terrano.

ARB delivers locker for both front and rear diff for the terrano II 1997
For the Terrano -1997 it's just the front diff.

Ooooooooohhh who got me looking at these bits :doh

ARB do all sorts of goodies including full suspension kits for the 2004 :naughty

Now .... where did I put the Visa :augie

was always under impression a locker up front was best avoided due to
effect on steering.

seemingly if aare going that way then best in a part time 4wd system like the
terrano, and as said with free wheeling hubs to protect its action on roads.

having sampled the patrol's locker, i prefer the terrano's lsd as its fully automatic
and comes into play on road use too. with the trolls electric rear locker had to
make sure wheels werent slipping against each other, then switch it off again
before high grip surface encountered. ARBs are great compared to open diffs but
be shame to remove an LSD for them.

The Aus lokka still allows for steering etc regardless off auto hubs or manuals.
Obviously more convenient with autos .
When I was researching them they were defo the best for the T2 :thumbs
Tommo has one in regular use offroad and now unstoppable:naughty

yes but you can disengage a proper diff lock when needed etc it's not needed all the time. But the lokka is different it knows when it's needed.

I am talking to Lokka on e-mail at the moment - they have quoted me 610 AUSD delivered to my door in Iceland for diff. I am still not clear if they do a front and rear. Certainly the customer service seems excellent as response has been immediate and they seem genuinely interested. I will post when I have the full story.
