Hi i have just replaced the diesel return pipes on my terrano, it was fairly easy except for the long pipe which returns from no1 injector back to the fuel system. Does anybody know if i need to put a clip on this pipe to hold it on or is the pressure low enough not to blow it off, if i have to has anybody any idea how to get it on??.

Hi Mully it can be a bit fiddly replacing the return pipe to the pump  When I did mine I replaced the very small hose clip on the pump end with a new one just incase it did come off. Tightening the clip was a pig of a job as I found the battery kept getting in the way so next time i've got to do it i will prob remove the battery for better access

Sorry no pictures, but if you do it make sure you put a large tray under engine to catch the diesel spillage.
Thanks for your info Sweety!!

Mine has never leaked at the pump end of the pipe, only the injector ends, and I've never had to fit a clip to it. I've acquired a set of long handle clamps from a set of surgical tools that were being disposed off, that makes the job a little easier.
