Hi and good morning to u good people. I was wondering how do i go about getting the fault codes on my minstral. I know where the socket is. But I don't know what terminals to bridge and I think I know how to read the blinks. And where do I get the fault code references. I have looked on the quick links but maybe missed all this info.

I am due to put her in a garage to get somebody to look at it but if I can get to the root of my problem that would save me time and money. Problem is torque convertor is coming out of lock when at 70mph. I have done the oil checks etc.

If you look in the links & download bit there is a section on accessing & reading fault codes which talks you through it from which contacts to bridge to a list of all the codes & all you'll need is a paper clip to do it:thumbs

No you will only get the fault codes from the main ECU your Auto has its own dedicated Auto box controller I do not know how to read these codes but if you ring the Box people in Hailsham they will tell you, Rick

There is a diagnostic procedure for the auto TCM detailed in the AT section of the workshop manual. It works in a similar fashion to the engine diags, but flashes the fault codes on the amber transmission dash light.
