Video's ????????????

Am sure I saw one or two of us taking video's of the trip ? :?
Where are they ???????????? :?
Not many pics/vids considering how many of us had camera's  :?

hi disco up date / comparisson.
when we drove up monsal dale i was aware of tyre slippage on the loose stone that have been placed on the track.
no lsd or dif lock just centre dif which just gives 50% to each axle.
just wondered how well the others performed.
remember still learning this disco thing :p

thought climb out of monsal was err interesting. those stones were certainly slippy and bumpy.

tbh think at times ended up closer than wanted to vehicle in front,
dropped back when a stone was thrown up, happily to side. trouble
didnt want to stop either to increase gap and have to hold it there
also such action would have impacted on truck behind to a degree.

super lane though really happy to have ticked it off at last, and bull tor
too which seemed to go on for ever. i was trying to anticipate the
junction with long lane and was wrong / too early several times.

Ian is Cherpit still open, looking at a route card andy gave for one his
first trips leading club reckon it would have slotted in between hassop
common and the ice cream stop.

hi richard .
re cherpit i think so will have to look it up .trouble is there are that many lanes to choose from we would be at it for hours to compleat them all
night shift :p

i havent driven clough lane which end is the steep bit?

Mine hardly slipped at all Ian and i had rear diff lock on apart from when i went round the sharp bend. Great vids aswell Ian. Gordon.

From where I was as you went up Monsal Dale Ian I didnt see much tyre slippage just lots of rock movement... some of which moved sideways and took your disco along for the ride and some of which came spitting out the back! I was catching you up there but trying not too... holding your foot steady on the throttle is difficult when its a bit bumpy!!
As we came round the corner I was I have to admit fairly horrified at what was before me... having never driven a 4x4 till 2 weeks ago and never off road before Saturday I was fairly convinced we werent going to get up there.... but in Low 1st at 1200rpm the Terrano just amazed us both and kept going.... no major wheelspin issues just a bit bumpy in places. I was thoroughly impressed...but obviously have nothing to compare to! Disco didnt look like it was struggling and axle articulation was impressive at times..

well put stoph, thats the snesation i had 2 steps forward, 1 side ways lol.

I think you did just fine pity you missed the first 2 lanes as in someways
i think there the hardest, certainly wakes you up climbing hurstclough
and dropping down leeside so tempting to use brakes, as well as low 1st.

on one part of the descent the hand brake was holding!! so switched off
and held it in gear, set off by starting in gear which is a strange feeling.

heather day

my 2.4 petrol seemed to climb it with ease although i did need a bit more gas than in the 2.7 tdi.also found it had a tendancy to run away abit in 1st low on steep decents so had to ride the brakes in places.reminded me of my 2.6 petrol shogun as that was the same.never felt out of control just had to keep holding back as i was catching up with big g on leeside.all in all very impressed.

p.s its blue again now for the time being
