hey puddle hopper.
I cant wait to go again.
Im not sure when I will next have the luxury of affording fuel for leisure.
But I would only be too happy to meet up maybe.
elty good videos mate:thumb2
I will be doing the monsal road again soon.
I thought I knew the peak quite well but going via green lane made me a bit disorientated.
theres a few I can find and a few on the owd nav.
but I think I may scrape a few quid up for a cheap to run trail bike to go exploring more often and cheaper fuel.
we did loads of lanes for me it was a 10 hour day..
I cant remember which lane that last video is mate, which lane was that?

cracking pics and vids

monsal used to be a cracking lane, i guess the bobble heads must like it too much for the likes of us :(

yes, would like that a lot. we subsidise our 4x4 running costs by using veg oil, i save 10 quid on every 20 ltrs bought . i can honestly say ive had no problems in the truck or my old vw or my old peugot. it works out at about 40mpg if you do price for mpg comparison. let me know :thumb2

skipped through previous threads on veg oil.I thought about trying it recently.
but I thought it was to late in the season with winter on the doorstep.
I will give it some thought.
too be honest ive been a bit lazy lately. Its been a long ish very busy summer. With my business to run a garden to tend dogs and kids at your ankles.family to look after. you get the picture.
We used to go the peak every weekend {bobble hating it as you say}.
the sunday with Elty was exploring it all over again with me getting exited.oh I know where I am oh now I don't again. Getting the proper intended use out of my papap.
I can read an os map but I have to copy the leaders route and get an ipad.
wow. good for videos (who needs a gopro) maps at your fingers music:D
my cab is stuffed with gizmos and just one very dodgey ciggy chardger.
Ive got me sat nav, ipod thingy for tunes, video camera and phone cables me cb cables.the auxillary cable for the stereo.
if I ever have a crash I may strangle meself tryin get out.
but yes I will be planning a few days out soon.
I also fancy a bod up yourkshire next spring does anyone green lane up there:nenau

Steve the last vid is Beeley moor.runs down to chatsworth. How can you forget that lane?thats the one where your power steering pipe let go.
funny you should mention yorkshire as i have been chatting about doing a run up there with some of the lancashire lads just this morning.
i have got a route i did some years back with a joint venture of guys from on here and from mud club.
sounds like like a plan is coming together.:thumb2
here are a couple of vids from the yorky dales run we did.

Looks like I better put a few pennies aside mate.
its not to far to go for a day but I prefer a b+b for the night.
I better get my steering fixed and extra lighting fitted:D

I'd be up for that. Need to pop my laning cherry and would feel better doing it with guys who know what their doing. :thumbs

just watch out if you are using a Peaks route from a few years ago, many of the lanes are now TRO'd

I am up in North Yorks again week after next, damn fine lanes up there as well

tell me about it mate.
I always go out and reccy the route on the quad bike before I do a run out.
I have a few routes so if there is any probs I can switch to another to avoid any lanes that are closed or uncertain.:thumbs
