It's not the MAF then :lol
When you had the service did you have a new fuel filter?
It could be a poor seal on that .

A few months back all the filters got swapped. I didn't notice as I say until I came to a hill and thought this ain't right and temp gauge rose up. I'm used to pulling nearly 2t of car and trailer so caravan it should have breezed. When i had similar probs I had just got the car and you guys said about afm and once I cleaned them small wires and had a full service it ran perfect. What made me think its the turbo is the whistle that's appeared where turbo would normaly kick in, but saying that even just reving in neutral it still don't sound right....phew lol

Think the mini filter hunt will have to comense but can see that being a ball ache lol

How many miles has it done and does it use oil?
Have you looked at the intercooler pipes and the I/C for cracks.
Take the inlet pipe off and see if there's loads of oil inside?
Waste gate actuator could be faulty or stuck open. EGR ?
I say this 'cause the turbo is pretty damn reliable usually. Mine's done nearly 200k and when I upgraded my turbo the old one was still good to go.
Also dont forget to do a diagnostic check as it could be CPS or No1 injector.

or a choked filter, but mini filter is on the cards, if you want an easier way to test, remove the cover over the fuel tank and then remove the left hand rubber pipe this is the return and should give a continuous flow with engine running discharging about 10 mm from the pipe if a lot less then filter bunged, Rick
