dashlights

Hello, please can you help? i have just bought a Maverick 2.7 P reg and i cant find a light on the dash for when i put it in 4wd..is there a light and if so where too?? if someone has a picture of dash lights i would appreciate it..

There is a 4x4 light on the dash and it's a green one bottom left of the dash. It should come on when you engage the 4wd lever:augie
Are you actually getting 4 wheel drive mechanically?

cheers, thanks. I was lookin forward to the game but wales lost. I dont know whether the four wheel drive is working or not because no light comes on the dash

mine has the same problem.
i think that mine is the switch on the gerabox because it worked before i did the clutch.
you will be able to tell if its in 4wd by how the steering feels.
put it in 4 low 1st gear and you will only be able to do about 10 mph flat out and if you are on hard ground you will feel the resistance on the steering.
dont drive far on tarmac in 4wd or you you could damage the front axle and wind up the transmission.

I've checked the bulb on the dash and that's not gone, and I've Put it into Low box and put it into 1st gear and only got ten mph flat out. So the four wheel drive must be working, so i think it's the switch on the gear box:nenau, Does anyone know where abouts it is on the gear box ??
