dash instruments

this morning all my gauges went off, not a sausage, i check all my fuses because i didnt know which one it was, then they all came back to life, not know which fuse did the job, again they went off tonight so i went through the rigmerole of checking the fuses again, this time nothing, before i take the dash out, where is this earth strap on the gearbox, could that cause this problem?, i have a 53 nissan 3.0

Just a thought but check battery cables for cracks may be breaking down internaly.

i removed the dash as your members told me, took 15 mins, istripped down the instrument pod, built it back up, touch wood it has been working now for the last2 weeks, yeah, thats saved me alot of pennies to have it looked at,
