I sat at home looking at my laptop along comes my 12 yr old collie puts her nose on side of my chair nuzzles my hand so i pat her on the head.:doh
so what does she do next leaps up in the air falls over and slams one of her front paws onto my laptop resultthe following keys ( .tab, caps lock a and x) all go flying across the room found all the bits got them back in place but tab and caps lock dont sit right ,had then off 5 times re assembled but still not right.
NO COLLIE WAS HURT IN THE MAKING OF THIS MISS HAP .BUT SHE CAME VERY VERY CLOSE .
I JUST SENT HER ON HER BED

this morning our dog ate, 7 eggs adhalf a block of butter, smells nice now!

Ian, not sure what brand lappy is but try this. The keys probably have some kind of a plastic frame below that moves in like a scissor action with a rubber cup that forms like a spring and makes the connection in the keyboard membrane. Checks theres no clips broken off the bottom of the button where it clips on to the plastic frame. Also have a look at the alluminium plate of the keyboard, this probably has some tabs that the frame and or button slides into. These tabs sometimes close up and may need gently prizing open. If you still struggling let me know what make and model as I may have a spare you can have.

LMAO what a thread :lol:lol:lol:lol

Luckiest escape one of my dogs ever had through inappropriate eating was the Staffi.

He nicked and chewed all sorts from clothes to the sunday roast but jacked it all in after chewing through the tele mains cable, when it was plugged in. we were sitting watching the tele when there was a loud cracking noise, he shot out from behind it with a yelp and the picture died.

Survived but stopped chewing anything that wasnt handed to him :D:D:D

well theres a thing, good taste in pooches :thumb2

We had loads of staffis in the family from the 1950's (i wasnt around then of course) right through to the the cable chewer who sadly died mid 80's.

Due to circumstances we had a series of collies and other breeds not forgetting my fab rotti cross,

Plus of course staffis (not least because of pitbulls) were kept by the wrong people for the wrong reasons (thats no adverse comment on you adz :thumb2 I'm on about the arseholes who dont keep them under control and keep them as status symbols or to fight)
so I havent owned one since then :( however who knows what tomorrow may bring :augie;)

dam dog

hi my collie Emma when she was a puppy didnt like being locked in the back room so she ate the door ,door frame ,brickwork.wouldnt settle so we got a rescue dog Bonnie as a play mate /companion .
That was 11 yrs ago both still good palls but Bonnie is now stone deaf.
and as some of you know there has always been a Yorkie in the house hold .
Ellie being the latest in a long line going back 30 yrs. 8 in total some being rescue dogs.
The last one Trixie would have been 20 yrs old if she had lasted 2 more months.
