D40 navara satnav question

Hi a mate of mine has 58 plate navara the satnav under seat went wrong and has been sent off.. now question is can I still drive the truck as satnav is linked to the nats sytem but it's no longer in the truck

Surely removing the satnav wouldnt stop the vehicle from driving would it?

To be honest I think I'd be more worried about the chassis cracking apart.

Hope you find the answer but I would suspect that it shouldn't immobilise the truck.
