Custom/funky/fruity exhausts for T2 2.7TDi.... What ya got?

I'm considering doing a "near" straight through exhaust for my T2 LWB 2.7TDi as I do love a bit of diesel grunt and a good turbo whistle :thumb2

I was wondering if u guys had any pics or even vids with sounds of what u may have on your trucks?

Where is your outlet? Rear? Side? Somewhere else?

Long or short exhaust run?

Does it effect performance?

Does it effect fuel economy?

Any else to consider effecting running?

Just weighing it up and seeing the best way to do it!!

would this be somthing you would do your self or have fabricated reason i ask is my front pipe has gone and i thought the same so would be interested in cost:thumbs

Well ofcourse I've got one :sly I had it done by Powerflow a couple of years back , all s/s and g/tee for life :lol Mine's side exit and 2 1/2 cost me far too much at the time about 275 I think it was :doh I would do it myself now but didn't know the ins and outs at the time. It's not noisy at all really and diesels dont make that much comparatively to petrol. The best performance mod you can do though is to dump the turbo flange and down pipe. The stock one is pittyful :doh So do that in 3" and follow on with short system and stick it out the side :naughty Mines about to go through the body in front of the back wheel but pics will be up next week some time when I get a chance. All the bits you'll need are easily avail on fleabay and cheap :thumbs
