A first for me and I'm really looking forward to it:clap

Sounds really good, wish I could come with you guys but i couldn't manage a whole weekend, only one day and it's a bit far for that unfortunately. Hopefully can do something for Wales

Would love to see pics a video though :D

Yeah it's a fair old treck for me, I'm driving up good Friday and coming back easter Monday.
I will be trying to get as many pics and vids as I can but as I am leading the group on new ground I will leave the photography to the Mrs and the rest of the group :thumb2

Hi,
Sure you will have a great time, I live a long way from it but Cumbria and the Lakes but always pull me home, as soon as I see the fells and pass that heart shaped forest on the right of the M6 I take a deep breath and feel just a little more relaxed.
Have a great time and enjoy the stunning views.

Gutted I can't make it but the cars not really ready for those kind of lanes at the moment and I'm skint :doh Still need to fit modded steering box, steering damper and sort my arches out again before the Wales one :naughty

Our Club did the Lakes two years ago, awesome!
Apart from the Alps, the best Laning I have done.
Not just for the best rock crawling in the UK, but the sublime views.
In fact, the climbing/route we did is featured in this last months TOR road book.
Have a great time with your mates Elty!:thumb2

Yeah I've seen the road book in Tor,the route we are doing has been given to me by a friend who visits the lakes on a regular basis. He drove the lakes yesterday with a small group and the pics look awesome.
The rock crawl on parkamoor at the side of Coniston water looks like a good technical challenge.

I'll have to keep an eye out for a route that's good for a novice in a stocker......

I've been told that old coach road just above Ullswater is standard motor friendly and has some amazing views :thumb2
Will let you know my findings next week.

Don't worry mate I plan to do this route again later in the year. I was thinking a day in the Yorkshire dales heading in the general direction of the lakes.stop overnight and do the lakes the following day :thumb2
Also going to bring the laning a little closer to you,the fordtastic route around your area and a day over in Shropshire.

Lol, it can park under mine if it rains:nenau
Yes mate we're good, I ordered my new lines in yellow this morning at 9am and by 11:30 they were dispatched with +75mm on the body to axle pipes to allow for the lift:thumb2.
One more day at work the that's me till after the bank holiday.
Should have a prep day on the truck Thursday.

The old coach road is a nice drive & views are great if the weather is good (rain & fog when I drove it years ago) not sure if they have repaired the bomb hole so be careful as it eats 4x4's :lol & you can't drive around it as it's all bog land managed to put a nice dent in my old SWB T2's fuel tank as it caught on a rock:doh

As far as I'm aware the old coach road has been repaired now Neil but won't know from sure until we drive it at the weekend.
As for standard friendly??? Depends on how much faith you have in your motor and your driving skills. Surprising how good the terrano is in standard form with a good set of tyres :thumb2
Rock crawling lake district style

Looks like it's going to be wet so that will make some of them rocky climbs interesting :lol
