Creaky clutch?

Please bear with me, my car mechanical skils are poor to say the least?
It's comming from just behind the rubber seal where the black plate comes through from clutch housing (at least that's what I think it's called?)
My rubber seal is stuck down and without knowing what exactly what's behind it I'm afrid to pull it off?
What I am hoping for is a squirt of gt85 and job done.
Could it really be that simple??

jay, i had the same on my truck, i pulled the rubber boot away and sprayed with wd40, but be careful not to spray on the clutch. :thumb2
