Crank position sensor

So can anyone help, my motor flashes up crank position sensor fault, I have checked the sensor and with a meter set on ohm's I get around 15 meg ohms now if I pass a metal object past the sensor it reads 10/11 meg ohms for the time that it is moving past, this suggests to me the sensor is working, it may be out of range of course but I have no way of knowing what is in range, may be another member has an idea, I have checked the wires sensor to ecu and no fault found, Rick

That settles it then it is foofed, thanks for that stinka, will dig deep and get a new one, Rick
