Ah Pete bad luck mate :(

That's two TD27's in a week

The ZD30 boys must be wetting themselves :doh

pft not a problem iof I keep it under 3000 rpm and drop the boost, take my lead boots off and drive normal like :lol but where's the fun in that :naughty

Odd one this Pete, you are not overfilled with oil are you? this would cause this issue as would crankcase breather blockage, wait to hear, Rick
I've checked the dip stick and it shows just under full.
The rocker breather is defo not blocked as that's were the oil is leaving the engine on it's way to the catch can. The can then filled with oil in 30 miles and then proceeded to carry on out the other nozzle which is open to atmosphere.
The old BBV return pipe that goes to the sump is blocked off. I think that pipe enters the sump just below the main part of the block. Do you think at that point the oil level is above that pipe ?
Surely there are enough holes internally in the block for plenty of oil from the rocker area to return to the sump and allow any pressure from blow by to rise up to the rocker and vent out ??

guess your engine breather is no longer connected to the air inlet or you would have had "runaway" I would say your engine is goosed, to be honest I did not like the sound of it at the Wales meet, if it is a zexell jobbie I have a good engine here for peanuts (cost of getting it out and shipping) but would require your pump in return, Rick

Pretty much come to same conclusion. It must be piston rings/bore wear I think.
It's actually running like fire but on full boost and 3000 rpm plus it spits it's vitals out :doh
I can probably get a pallet carrier to collect . Is it TDi block or TD manual pump ?

TDi fly by wire, Rick

Now then here's teaser for you all :augie
I realise my engine is spewing it's life juices out BUT I have a comp this Sunday, so just spent a few hours doing a make shift oil blow by management plan :lol
My previously blanked off BBV return pipe (that goes to the sump) is now Tee'd into the rocker vent and then off to the catch can. The open side of the catch can then has a long hose to a large catch can (6 pint milk bottle ).
I "thought" that would suffice for now till I build the new engine. Anyway, 12 miles later and the oil leak is now worse than ever but from the dip stick. Blown it right out  Hardly anything on catch can side :nenau
Bizarrely for an engine supposedly goosed , it's driving like a race car. Goes like stink , I'm perplexed
Can the blow by be that bad to blow the dipstick out and still drive like a rocket :nenau

I predict a fire imminently :lol

Out of curiosity I'd be tempted to run the sump half full of oil and see of you have any change

To think you were trying to sell this too :lol

Sounds to me like your rocker cover breather is blocked, and yes if it cannot breath it will blow dipstick out, even a first class engine has blow by that has to be vented, Rick

Yes all vented .So rocker off tomorrow me thinks, I hope to find a gremlin stuck right up there :lol
Banshee, it's still for sale :sly it's even got an external oil recirculation cooler device too
Automatic anti corrosion system ( pat pending ) working well :naughty

no need to remove rocker cover, just the hose, it should puff loads air out, only remove it if it does not, Rick
