Connecting ELM327 to my 2000 terrano td

hi all not sure if this is the place for this but ear go,s

i got a elm 327 revision 1.4 interface

tryed to connect to car with easy obd 2 but all i get is this

[B]pc communication port ok com4

interface connected - pwm/vpw/iso/can multi protocol

vehicle data bus okay

no vehicle response / connection or power[/B]

can any of you help me with this please ?

I bought one too earlier in the week with same problems!! Tried it on 3 different cars with no joy, my Terrano, fiesta and my brothers newer peugeot 307 with no joy just same error!! :nenau

terrano ecu is not obd2 compilant thats y u need nissan consulet:thumb2

thanks a lot mate its all clear now its not obd2 just uses that obd2 plug :thumbs

if you have a later model vehicle it will have the 16 pin js1692 connector, but it is mostly just a re-pinned version of the earlier 14 pin arrangement.
So you can use the 14 pin interface adapters from ebay but you will have to kluge a 16 pin connector to it.
It's only 4 pins you need re-wire...
