Hi fella's

I need to man up and change my compression rod bushes as my wandering steering is now pi****g me right off :doh.

Last time I attempted this I got as far as taking the rod off and seeing an oval shaped hole in the mount I cried into my latex gloved hand and as it was 8.30 -2 and dark I put it back together and had a whiskey. But as it needs doing does anyone have a pic of the repair they have done so I motivate myself, pull the mig out and give myself a dodgy looking winter sun tan.

Cheers.

Think Makeitfit did a repair on Black Pearl some time ago, have a search of his threads, Rick

:lol :lol :lol

I've cried into a latex glove many a time, I've only ever replaced the bushes, never had to repair a cup as of yet

Cheers Rick, Had a look through makeitfit's posts but could only see the upgrade to bearings.

Banshee hate crying into latex gloves, Have more fun blowing them up and pretending their udder's (whoop's to much info). Look's like ill knock up 2 new cups weld them on and fill in the oval.

I have something in my toolbox that may help you, do you need to repair both sides?

Looks like it, 1 cup in non existent and the other looks nearly as good.

I have some perfect cups that you just need to drill the centre out of and weld in place, they are ace!!! Can't remember where I got them from :doh

That would be excellent any pics and ill have a look round or perhaps I could turn some up on a lathe :) .
