ive recently spotted a garage near me just carry out undersealing full body protection, i enquired he said they first spray underneath with water while scraping away all the crap ,grit, mud etc on the ramp the cars then left to dry few hrs then brought back in on the ramp all inner whell arch guards removed all electrics ,brake pipes, fuel pipe, mast off he said full underneath cover inside the chassis holes & the sills injected ,he said they use 2 products mainly waxed based , he said its a days job i asked for a price on my terrano £230 thought at first big expenssive but would keep the welding torch away for a few yrs so am thinking having it done

Tbh that sound like a good deal !

Days labour is £120 for any garage and a smallish tin is £10 of the paint stuff, I did both my rear arches with a £10 tin, but it only just did it.

yeah think its pretty reasonable he did say slightly more if you want doors & tail gate door also injecting but i wanted just the underneath, but like you say labour costs 120 he said they wanted car for a full day so pretty good yeah:clap

hi buzz its in doncaster, passed it few times over last few weeks i rang em sounds like they do a good job tho, peace of mind when it comes to sept again:doh altho snows good fun then:thumbs

I have given my one a bit of attention today after I did the oil switch, what I did do was to remove the front mud flaps (3 screws in each) and pull the inner wing protectors away at the bottom.
This revealed a nice big bung of mud, hidden around the front of the sill and lower wing, now cleaned out and Bilt Hamber Under body sprayed all over.
I would recommend looking in there and treating, before the dreaded sets in :thumb2

Will do that myself, possibly this weekend as doing the rear end was a total success :) you must grind off any bubbling paint and rust tho

When I bought this car I had a fairly good look around it and although it has some surface rust on parts of the chassis, the body looks to be very solid.
This area is a mud trap though and now it's been cleaned out and well blitzed with protection.
My last Terrano that I just sold, although being ten years old, was still in good nick. I do believe in cleaning the mud from under the arches on a regular basis though :D

Too late for mine, the rotts already there.

This summer is going to be "Wings off" to get to all the crap inside and get some welding done.
