Just going to run this by you guys to see if my thinking is corect.

I have noticed that my T2 is smoking a bit when starting from cold, it also feels a bit lumpy to start with. This only lasted about 5 seconds then it as smoothe as can be.

Checked the oil for water, no white scum all is fine. Checked the water for oil and all is fine. No loss of water or oil so I figure its nothing serious like the head gasket.

Once running it runs fine, no smoke that I can see, the inital smoke on start up clears after a few seconds.

Now I was thinking possibly needs new glow plugs, one or two are not heating up from cold?

Is there anything else that could be causing this?

My 2001 terrano was the same on realy cold mornings, replaced the glow plugs and it now seems ok

HI BOGGERT.
TRY DOUBLE HEATING SEE IF THAT MAKES A DIFFERANCE.
ie. turn ignition on wait for heater light to go off .turn ignition off .turn ignition back on wait for heater light to go off . then start as normal.

does it start any different ?.
