Hi,
thats how my t2 started, clutch pedal would be on the floor, would hook my foot under it and it would be fine. However this as mine wont last long. Air is entering the system, start by checking your fluid level and monitor to see if you are losing any and where from. My problem was a combination of things, first thing i noticed was that the flexy hose next to the slave cylinder was slightly wet, and had to be replaced. this i thought would cure it but, didnt entirely,- was still losing pedal, wouldnt bleed either. i found that the pipes that carry the clutch fluid under the car were corroded badly and also needed replacing.Check these two things first, if ok i would then be looking at the master cylinder.
hope this helps
