Will check that gaiter & also try the 'molyslip' - Cheers, PaulI put molyslip in mine to quieten it and it improved the gear change, a lot slicker.
The gear shift rubber hasn't fallen apart has it? Look below the gear lever gaiter, there is another gaiter that perishes, and if the clutch was replaced then this would have been disturbed.
Cheapest fix if it is.:nenau
Clutch was okay. There is a 'pedal frame/box' which I am told incorparates all three pedals.Cannot get it forward or reverse until 5 - 10mts elapsed with the engine running in neutral. Only then, with gentle pushing/pulling will it go in either. After a few hundred yards, clutch works fine!!! Clutch was definitley goosed by the way (garage owned by brother-in-law, so reliable at least!)

This box/frame had previously been broken/fractured and re-welded again but caused the whole assembly to sag. This was reason I could not get it into gear at all.
Garage has fixed it temporary, but will require a replacement frame/box in the near future. Can anyone give me a price please?
Thanks for all your info re my thread - Paul
Hi Rick, wished you lived nearer!!No sorry do not buy that, if the frame was no good why should it get better when it is warm or after 10 mins driving, and as I have said before, forget clutch all together if you try and select reverse it will grind the gears no grind then the gear lever is not selecting reverse, how can that have anything to do with pedals or clutch or hydraulics or anything else you can think of, or maybe I am reading it wrong??? Rick
